Innovative April Informer
This year daylight savings is due to end on Sunday 4th April when clocks go back one hour. i.e. 03.00am becomes 02.00am.
Some Eastern Australian States will also end daylight savings on Sunday the 4th April.
So if you're heading away for the Easter break......be safe, if you're camping, let's hope the weather holds out and we don't have to pull our tents down in the rain. Please remember, if you're in accommodation over the long weekend and you need to be out by 10am on Sunday morning it would actually be 11am. ;-)

Part of the Innovative sales team attended the New Zealand National Motorhome and Caravan Expo in Hamilton.
A large amount of people attended the show and it was a good opportunity to display some of the Innovative Energies products.

Fan Operated Power Supplies
Summer brings higher temperatures that play havoc with hard working power supplies. Now is the time to think seriously about the fans that operate within your PSU's on a 24/7 basis. For Innovative manufactured products, it is recommended that the lids be removed from these products and a check of the fan be made for bearing noise or any other sound other than blade noise, if in any doubt contact our sales office or service dept for pricing of a replacement fan. A pencil or screwdriver must be placed through the fan blade to prevent bearing damage whilst compressed air is blown across the fan blade. The cost of replacing the fan is far less than the associated cost due to the loss of an important or critical system.
EMC Chamber for Hire
Innovative Energies Ltd has an Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) test facility available for pre-compliance testing on a hire basis. The test results can be printed, saved to disc or e-mailed for future reference.
The facility is not officially calibrated and therefore certified compliance testing cannot be performed. However, comparison of results obtained from this facility have shown to closely resemble certified compliance test results. Many companies have used this facility to substantially reduce costs of compliance testing as Innovative does not charge based on your failures! If you are interested in hiring the EMC chamber please contact the sales office.

It seems like only yesterday that i was typing the same message. Where has the year gone? All we know is that it's not that long to the rugby world cup (2011 for those who have not been near the internet or have more important problems to solve).
Thank God that New Zealand is a ‘safe’ democracy and we should be pleased that we have controversies like whether we should build a national stadium on Auckland’s waterfront.No solution will ever please everyone but it is good tosee that there are people interested enough to participate in the debate and express their views.IfNicky Hager was a Russian he would probably have been poisoned by now.
In other words there are events which are beyond our control and which most of us choose to only observe from a distance.We salute those who endeavour to change the world so thatit is a better place for everyone.

DNR ...Din Rail Mounting AC/DC Converter (PSU)
Specifically designed for DIN rail mounting this range is available in the following output
power and voltage ratings:
Power: 10, 18, 90, 60, 120 &240W
Voltage: 5-48V (size dependent)
The 30-240W models are suitable for float charging batteries. Full power available up to 60deg C ambients
APK ..DC/DC converter
This little model complements our IEXR...range of DC/DC converters. It is available
in two power ratings 25W and 60W. There are 5V outputs available with the 25W model
Other features include:
thermal shutdown with auto restart
operation up to 70deg C ambient (50% normal rating)
optional DIN rail mounting available
P/S Alarm Card
Designed to monitor two DC power supply systems for undervoltage, eg. for N+1 parallel
redundant systems. Great for retrofitting onto existing systems or for adding to
new standard off the shelf units which require alarms. There are two models available: 10-32V & 20-60V input range. Each alarm is signalled through a relay with changeover contacts. Comes complete with vented metal case for easy panel mounting.
