EMC Testing / Contract Manufacturing
The New Zealand factory has an Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) test facility available for pre-compliance testing. We make this facility available for hire to outside companies involved in manufacturing electronic equipment who want to perform preliminary EMC compliance testing prior to sending the units to a certified laboratory. There is a big saving in the cost of the obtaining the certifications if the equipment is shown to be compliant prior to submitting it to the certified testing laboratory.
The facility comprises an Advantest R4131D spectrum analyser, controlled via a GPIB interface to a personal computer.
The computer runs EMC testing software, which allows for automated control of the spectrum analyser to produce a graphical analysis of the eletromagnetic spectrum and compare the results with the various compliance standards.
