ETHERNET COMMUNICATION

Ethernet communication takes place between two network clients on a basic socket level. It is found in the Physical Layer of the OSI Model.

All Innovative Energies SR series of power supplies/chargers have the capability of being Ethernet enabled.  Data can be accessed using an Ethernet cable, via a standard RJ45 socket.

A direct communication path is established with the host IP and port number to host the IP port. These ports allow a single IP address to establish multiple connections over the network.

Ethernet describes communication over a single cable, shared by all devices on the network. Once a device is attached to this cable, it has the ability to communicate with any other attached devices. This allows the network to expand, acommodating new devices without requiring any modification to those devices already on the network.
